Façade works

In accordance with modern architecture requirements, today it is hardly conceivable to have a business or trade centre without façade structures composed of glass, aluminium or panel surfaces, and it is not a rare case that such façades are constructed on residential buildings.

MONTING MONTAŽA carries out all types of semi-structural or structural façades.

A structural façade (with no visible supporting sections) is placed onto metal sub-structures bearing the façade slabs and thermal insulation material.

A semi-structural façade has visible sections along the perimeter of the façade slab fringe.

Technical characteristics of structural and semi-structural façades:

  • Supporting sections according to EN AW – 6060 standard
  • Profile shape tolerance according to EN 12020 – 2 standard,
  • Waterproof characteristics according to EN 12154 standard,
  • Air permeability according to EN 12152 Standard,
  • Gaskets according to DIN 7863 (-30°C to +80°C) standard,

 

Structural façade systems provide:

  • Excellent thermal protection;
  • Maximum acoustic protection;
  • Possibility of using various types and thickness of glass;
  • A variety of decorative and cover profile for modern aesthetical appearance.

From the point of panelling, the structural and semi-structural façades may be:

  • glazed (single or multiple glass elements),
  • alubond,
  • composite panels,
  • glass-metal combination,
  • supporting façade slabs onto which the stone or stone mosaic is pasted.

All these façades are ventilated, meaning that there is a layer of air between the insulation material and the external decorative layer.

The size of the ventilated layer is minimum 2 cm (strictly according to the recommendation of the façade manufacturer).

The role of this layer is to remove diffuse moisture from the facility (from the indoor, warmer space into the outdoor, colder environment – this is why no vapour control layer is necessary), as well as the water which may have penetrated the external panel. In summer, the heat is prevented from penetrating into the facility (reduces the heating of the basic wall mass), whereas the layer in winter serves as an additional thermal insulator.
